Problem
When trying to delete a matter an error appears: Associated data exists - Please detach
Solution
Deleting a matter can be impossible if the matter has been used at all. Deleting of matters should only be done if the matter was accidentally opened and now needs to be immediately deleted.
To see what data is is still connected to a matter that you are trying to delete:
- Go to Matter Menu > Matter > Show Where Used this will outline what is still connected to the matter
If you are unable to delete the matter due to attached data then close/archive the matter.
