Outlook add-in - no connection could be made

Problem

Outlook is giving the following error when trying to automatically float a sent email into the relevant file in LM.

No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Solution

  1. Go to Outlook
  2. Select the LawMaster tab
  3. Make sure that the Default Server is pointing to the correct LawMaster instance

NOTE: You may need to close and reopen Outlook and LawMaster at least once to see the correct drop down options.

There may be other reasons for this error but this should be a first step troubleshooting task.
