How to Hide Transactions on a Trust Statement

Modified on Mon, 12 Feb at 6:47 PM

The Trust Transaction History record on a matter will show all of the transactions entered, including the reversals.

This information is required for auditing purposes however can look ugly and confusing from the client's perspective.

The transaction history is the same information that pulls through to the Trust Statement for the client (Matter Menu > Trust > Print Trust Statement).

Step-by-step guide

If you do not want certain lines to show on the client statement:

  1. Go to the Matter Menu > Trust >Trust Transaction History
  2. Select the line that you want to hide
  3. Right click and select "Include -Exclude"
  4. You will be asked if you want to exclude the transaction from the statement. Select "Yes"
  5. Refresh the screen and you will see that the Narrative of the excluded line will be prefixed with an asterisk *
  6. If you want to include the transaction that was previously excluded, simply follow the same process to include the line.

It is advisable to hide mistakes as soon as they are made so that all staff can confidently print Trust Statements quickly for their clients.
