You can drag and drop files from File Explorer or emails from Outlook onto cabinets.
For files other than emails dropped from File Explorer onto cabinets that are:
- Associated with a matter, the files are automatically saved as folios to the matter and included as cabinet items.
- Not associated with a matter, the Add Folio form displays for you to specify a matter number for the folio. Select OK to save the files as folios and include them as cabinet items.
For emails dropped from Outlook or File Explorer onto cabinets, that are:
- Associated with a matter, a form, if specified by your Outlook integration parameter, displays for you to add additional information for the folio. Select OK to save the emails as folios and include them as cabinet items.
- Not associated with a matter and the matter is unable to be ascertained from the Email, a form displays for you to specify a matter number and additional information for the folio. Select OK to save the emails as folios and include them as cabinet items.
Where an email has attachments and you select to save the attachments separately, the parent email is saved as a folio and associated with the Cabinet but the attachments are saved as folios and not associated with the Cabinet.
