Auto-Login using Windows username

Modified on Wed, 27 Mar at 2:16 AM

This allows the user to login to the system using the Windows Authentication feature from the initial Login screen.

Step-by-step guide

To enable Windows Authentication, the Auto Login box must be ticked, and the Windows user name must be entered: The user@fulldomainname.com.au format is preferred, but domainname\user will continue to work for older Microsoft Operating Systems.

  1. Go to Menubar > Security > Maintain Security
  2. Select the user in question
  3. Select the User settings tab
  4. Tick the Auto Login box
  5. Enter the Windows username that the user uses when logging into the PC that LawMaster is installed and run from
NOTE: The user@fulldomainname.com.au format is preferred, but domainname\user will continue to work for older Microsoft Operating Systems.

For more details on Windows Authentication and LawMaster setup go to Menubar > Help > System Overview > Contents tab > Other Modules > System Administration > System Security > Windows Authentication
