When you first open a matter, your login details and the current date are recorded as the person creating or modifying the matter. You can change the author to record any changes you make using the login details of anyone you have access rights to act on behalf of.
To change the Author
- In the Lawyers Options menu, click Change to New Author.
- In the change to new author form, click the ellipsis.
- After clicking the ellipsis another window will pop-up, here you can select the New Author from the Resource List.
- Select the Recourse then select Yes.
- You are now acting on behalf of the person you have selected. To revert to your own login, see Revert to Login User.
Ellipsis: The three dots in form input fields that are also called Breadcrumbs. Instead of clicking the Ellipsis you can also:
- on your keyboard, Tab to the field and press F5 to access the search or lookup form
- enter the code or number directly into the field, if you know it
