It is possible to add emails/documents to subsequent matters, however, they are treated as separate folios.
So if you make a change to Document A on Matter 1 there will be no change made to the duplicate of Document A on Matter 2.
There is no special trick to adding the email/document to the subsequent matters, you just drag and drop them from outlook/your file system or use the floating file note as usual and when asked if you want to add the duplicate you say yes.
Step-by-step guide
If you want to copy an existing folio in LawMaster from one matter to another then:
- Right click the folio and select New Version
- Alter the Precis as needed (optional)
- Tick the Original Folio? tick box
- Set the Matter number to the new matter
