Adding documents/emails to multiple Matters

It is possible to add emails/documents to subsequent matters, however, they are treated as separate folios. 


So if you make a change to Document A on Matter 1 there will be no change made to the duplicate of Document A on Matter 2. 


There is no special trick to adding the email/document to the subsequent matters, you just drag and drop them from outlook/your file system or use the floating file note as usual and when asked if you want to add the duplicate you say yes.



Step-by-step guide


If you want to copy an existing folio in LawMaster from one matter to another then: 

  1. Right click the folio and select New Version 
  2. Alter the Precis as needed (optional) 
  3. Tick the Original Folio? tick box 
  4. Set the Matter number to the new matter
