No Word Document Error

Problem

If a user is trying to float in a document and they get the error ‘No Word Document’, there are three things that can be checked in the first instance.

Solution

  1. Check that the Word Document has “enable editing’ selected
  2. Check that the cursor is in the document you are trying to float into LawMaster
  3. Check that you do not have a blank instance of Word open; look at the bottom of your screen, if there is a blank grey version of Word, close this.

Can't find the floating file note box?

If you can’t find your floating file note box, it might be hiding behind other screens. To find it, hold down the ‘Alt’ key and press tab until the box is selected.

Let go of both keys when the file note box is selected and it will become the front screen.
