End Of Day Error

Problem

When a user tries to run a End Of Day (EOD) manually or if the system EOD fails with the below error message:

The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint ""FK_Res_Performance_Resources"". The conflict occurred in database ""LawMaster[name]Production"", table ""dbo.Resources"", column 're_res_no'.

(This error message can be found in ‘Periodic Processing -> View Processing Log-> Select the Date when the failure of EOD reported').

Solution

Go to 'Transaction -> System Audit Enquiry', Select Audit Type ='Matter Cost Transaction'. Click on Transaction Tab. Review the presented data for anything noticeable which indicates deleted user transactions. If any, then recreate that user in the system with the same initials, mark the user as a no-login user. Run End Of Day.

If the issue is not resolved by the above troubleshooting steps, this needs to be further analyzed by LawMaster Support technicians. The further process would involve running the End of Day –> Step-by-Step process and analyzing the root cause from the failure point.

Causes:
The above error during EOD process might be occurring due to:

A User is deleted from the databases whose financial transactions are audited recently;
A user is deleted but still has some cost transactions which weren’t closed correctly.
