Problem
Our office address has changed. How do we update LawMaster so the correct office address now appears?
Solution
It depends upon where the office address appears as to where to make the necessary changes.
Company Code addresses are governed by :
- Go to Menubar > Parameters > Set Parameters > Accounting > Company Codes - Accounting
- Select the Company in question
- Make note of the Company Entity ID
- Click Cancel
- Go to Menubar > Enquiries > Entity Search
- Select Identifier from the Search drop down and click the Search button
- Enter the Company Entity ID from step 3
- Click OK
- Right click on the Entity in question and select Modify
- Alter the Address as needed
Work Unit addresses are governed by :
- Go to Menubar > Parameters > Set Parameters > Accounting > Work Units - Non-accounting
- Right click on the Work Unit in question and select Modify
- Make note of the Work Unit Entity ID
- Click Cancel
- Go to Menubar > Enquiries > Entity Search
- Select Identifier from the Search drop down and click the Search button
- Enter the Entity ID from step 3
- Click OK
- Right click on the Entity in question and select Modify
- Alter the Address as needed
Bills addresses are governed by the Bill Form:
- Go to Main Menu > System Maintenance > Forms > Forms Enquiry
- Select a Bill form in question
- Right click on the form and select Edit
- Change the Address in the resulting Word document
- Click Save and Close
- Repeat steps 1 to 5 for each Bill Format in question
Template addresses are governed by templates:
NOTE: Templates Addresses can be governed by Source Documents in which case contact your Workflow and Document Automation expert to make the necessary changes. Otherwise:
- Go to Main Menu > Workflow Development > Document Templates
- Select a template in question
- Right Click on the template and select Edit Document Template
- Change the Address in the resulting Word document
- Click Save and Close
- Repeat steps 1 to 5 for each Template in question
